33° "Festival Cusiano di Musica Antica" ... ancient sounds and the enchanted island: from 11 to 26 June!
In June, on Lake Orta, eight days of magic with the Festival Cusiano of ancient music. From the darkness of the Lake there is an island bathed in light. Torches at the entrance, valets in sala in period costumes, pulsating candles welcome visitors in the 18th century collection of Bead House on the island of San Giulio. The Festival Cusiano di Musica Antica has from the outset employed worldwide for the high level and variety of the styles offered. The succession of the evenings offers varied glimpses of musical life in the alternation of the centuries: playful Baroque symphonies of almonds; songs about the follies of love; Intrade, sonatas and ballades by sonar with trumpets, fifes and mortars; traditional Italian and European medieval music; Renaissance songs and dances rhythmic ideas, rich data for many different stringed instruments: affi, wind instruments, percussion instruments, present in large numbers and dialogue among them with panache and extreme listening pleasure.
